SM-UYA 3.5Y Susceptometer
What Is the Susceptometer Used for?
The SM susceptometer is used to measure the magnetic susceptibility and permanent magnetisation of mass standards with the highest readability, according to OIML R111 in class E1 and below. It is a comprehensive reference solution for determining magnetic characteristics even in class E1. The susceptometer’s weighing pan has been designed in such a way that its operating range can be changed without additional components.
Three Devices in One
The susceptometer, thanks to its removable modul, can also be used as a mass comparator and MYA 5Y Microbalance. The modular design of the device broadens its range of applications.
Automatic Precision
Automatic (internal) adjustment is carried out by the susceptometer itself. This procedure is more precise than the manual procedure and relieves the user of the obligation to have an external mass standard and to control its condition. Automatic adjustment in the susceptometer is an ergonomic solution that saves you time and guarantees better results for your measurements.
On a 5Y Foundation
The base of the susceptometer is the 5Y terminal, which not only has a convenient and clear menu, but also other facilities and functionalities, such as:
- Digital Weighing Auditor (DWA)
- 4 login methods plus any combination thereof
- Ambient Light luminous alerts
- Live Note text notes
- Measurement history within the Handy Library
- Hotspot
- RFID
- Large display (10-inch, graphic, colour, touchscreen)
- Widgets.
What Connections Do the Susceptometer’s Communication Interfaces Enable?
The susceptometer’s 5Y terminal allows it to connect directly to:
- Computer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
- Smartphone or tablet (hotspot)
- Printer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
- Barcode scanner (USB-A)
- Additional screen (HDMI)
- Any PC software (RADWAG communication protocol)
- Spreadsheet (USB-C, Free Link)
- Keyboard
- Mouse.

Quality / Certification Assurance with every Solution
When you work in an industry that involves transporting multiple vehicles with heavy units and materials, weighing becomes a necessity. Driving a vehicle on the road is not road legal due to its weight. Having your vehicles weighed incorrectly could ultimately leave your business vulnerable to prosecution.
