SM-UYA 3.5Y Susceptometer
What Is the Susceptometer Used for?
The SM susceptometer is designed to measure the magnetic susceptibility and permanent magnetisation of mass standards with the highest readability, according to OIML R111 in class E1 and below. It provides a complete reference solution for determining magnetic characteristics even in class E1. The susceptometer weighing pan, thanks to its special design, does not need any additional components to change the operating range of the instrument.
5Y Is Fundamental
The core of the susceptometer is the 5Y terminal, which has a user-friendly menu and a dozen other advantages, including:
- 10-inch display
- Digital Weighing Auditor (DWA)
- Uncompromised user verification
- Ambient Light
- Hotspot
- RFID
- Live Note text notes
- Measurement history within the Handy Library
- Widgets.
What Communication Interfaces Does the Susceptometer Have?
With its communication interfaces, the 5Y terminal connects directly to:
- Smartphone or tablet (Hotspot)
- Spreadsheet (USB-C, Free Link)
- Printer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
- Computer (Ethernet, Wi-Fi®, USB-A)
- Barcode scanner (USB-A)
- Additional screen (HDMI)
- Any PC software (RADWAG communication protocol)
- Keyboard
- Mouse.
Add or Subtract
A great advantage of the susceptometer is its modular design, which expands its applications. With the removal of a special module, our device can be used as a mass comparator or an UYA 5Y Ultra-Microbalance. You choose what you need at any given time: susceptometer, mass comparator or ultra-micro balance.
Adjustment Without Your Intervention
The susceptometer has internal (automatic) adjustment, which guarantees precision and relieves the user of the need to intervene with an external mass standard.

Repeatability is expressed as a standard deviation determined for 6 ABBA cycles. Standard deviation is experimentally determined under ambient conditions for calibration of E1 class mass standards specified in OIML R111 (Table C.1.) document.
Quality / Certification Assurance with every Solution
When you work in an industry that involves transporting multiple vehicles with heavy units and materials, weighing becomes a necessity. Driving a vehicle on the road is not road legal due to its weight. Having your vehicles weighed incorrectly could ultimately leave your business vulnerable to prosecution.
